Long Road Through Thesis Part III

Posted: December 2, 2011 in Uncategorized

Yep…it’s about that time. With less than two weeks away from my thesis deadline, I am officially overwhelmed. Thesis has never been so intense. The late nights revising chapters, research, meetings; it is all unfolding right in front of my eyes. But, despite contrary beliefs, I am actually still on a good pace. I have three chapters completed and all that is left is one final chapter and the conclusion.

The last chapter talks about the mainstream media and its biases. I talk about how the news portray Hip-Hop artists such as violent thugs and criminals without acknowledging the positive messages they convey in songs or the charitable work they do in their communities. I am covering several artists here such as;

Nas and his problems with Fox News after exposing them for their racist propaganda.

Ludacris and his problems with Bill O’Reilly after endorsing Barack Obama’s campaign in a record.

Eminem and his problems with the government for his uncompromising lyrics and later, political stance.

This is probably going to be the longest chapter I have to write, but I know once this is done, finishing thesis would be smooth sailing. I just have to start writing it unfortunately. Hopefully you hear from my progress really soon. I am Jimmy Watts and I am signing out from a long road through thesis.
